Last weekend we were able to visit my parents in Lexington and take Drew and Daniel along for the fun. After felling a few trees on our property we ended up hiking up Big House Mountain (3,675 ft) overlooking the valley. The day was perfect. The crisp fall air, and rustling leaves under our feet as we hiked reminded me of how much I enjoy the Autumn colors of Virginia. We stopped for lunch at the saddle between Little House Mountain and Big House Mountain with excellent views and surveyed the optional camping area. Dad and I are hoping to get back up there when it snows this winter…
